At Jolly Sports, we believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to enjoy the game.

Whether it's baseball or softball, the game should build confidence, create lifelong memories, and teach lessons that extend far beyond the field. That's why everything we create is designed with one purpose in mind: helping young players have more fun and more success doing what they love.

Where It All Began

My love for the game started with my grandfather.

He was my coach, my mentor, and my best friend. He taught me how to play the game the right way—with hard work, patience, confidence, and a genuine love for every inning.

He always made sure I had the right coaches, the right equipment, and every opportunity to succeed. Looking back, I realize he wasn't just preparing me to become a better player. He was giving me the confidence to enjoy the game.

Those lessons have stayed with me ever since.

Why Jolly Sports?

People often ask where the name came from.

The answer goes back to my grandfather.

When he wasn't at the ballfield, he loved sailing. His sailboat was named Pirate, and for as long as I can remember, he proudly drove with a "PIRATE" license plate. After he passed away, I carried on that tradition with my own vehicles.

When it came time to name this company, I knew I wanted it to honor him. I considered names like Pirate Performance and Jolly Roger, but neither felt quite right.

Then it clicked.

Jolly Sports.

"Jolly" was inspired by the Jolly Roger, but more importantly, it represented exactly what I wanted this company to stand for.

Joy.

Fun.

Adventure.

The excitement kids feel when they step onto the field.

Some people told me the name sounded too playful.

I took that as a compliment.

Because somewhere along the way, youth sports became serious. Kids are being evaluated earlier than ever, schedules are packed, and too many young athletes feel like they're working for the game instead of simply enjoying it.

We believe they should get to be kids.

Why We Built Our Glove

After playing five years of college baseball, I pursued a career outside the game. But I kept finding myself back on the field—coaching teams, training players, and working with thousands of young athletes.

Over the years, I noticed something that never made sense to me.

Players spend countless hours learning how to hit, throw, and field.

But very few are ever taught how to catch properly.

Even worse, many young players are expected to learn with stiff, oversized gloves that are difficult for small hands to control.

We believed young athletes deserved something better.

So we set out to build a premium glove specifically for youth players—one that gives small hands better control, encourages proper catching mechanics, and helps players develop confidence from the very beginning.

Not because a glove can create talent.

It can't.

But because the right glove can remove unnecessary frustration and give every young athlete a better opportunity to enjoy the game.

Everything we make is guided by the same belief my grandfather instilled in me years ago.
